Pirate Mothership

As most of you may know by now already that a week ago, the Indian Navy Warship INS Tabar sunk a suspected pirate mothership. It appears that the suspected pirated mothership was a hijacked Thai trawler.

Star Trek Trailer and 2012 Trailer during Jame Bond Movie Quantum of Solace

When I went to watch James Bond Movie - Quantum of Solace, one of the things I was looking forward to was the trailer of Star Trek movie. I read about the description of the trailer in a fews blogs who had the chance to see it in some special screening, and later on watched a theatre version on Youtube. Since the bootleg copy was no good, I was looking forward to seeing it in big screen, and I have to say, I was quite satisfied with it.

A pirate mother ship destroyed by the Indian Navy - Pirates Ship goes down in flames, 1800 AD Style!

thought this was an interesting news piece. According to news reports, the Indian Naval Ship INS Tabar destroyed a Somalian pirate "mothership". Apparently, the Indian Frigate wanted to investigate the vessel, but after repeated calls the pirate "mother ship" threatened the frigate with its destruction (this is hilarious- you have to be stupid as hell to threaten a frigate).

Detroit Automakers Bailout

Detroit Automakers Bailout - Bailing out GM Ford and Chrysler from their mistakes.
Should we bailout Detroit from its mistake? The Big 3 are saying that the slowdown in the economy is the result of their current problem, and that they have made many changes within their company, but would need government assistance to fully realize the benefits.

I am not sure if it is just GM and Chrysler that are actively pursuing the $25 billion bailout. I haven't heard much from Ford, but I am sure Ford Motors would also like to be bailed out from its current mess. As an individual from Michigan, I am torn between wanting the automakers to be bailed out on one hand, and on the other not wanting these 3 Automakers get a free pass on their disastrous vision.

Medicine SymbolSince it seems that Hillary Clinton might be our next Secretary of State in the Obama Administration, we can be quite sure that there will be a major overhaul to our current health care system. Reformation of Healthcare was one of Hillary Clinton's top agendas during primary run up, and if she is the Secretary of State, she will make sure that Health Care reform would be one of the top agendas of Obama Administration.

Universal Healthcare is a great idea, and every developed country has some sort of Universal Healthcare system, making United States the only exception in the industrialized world. Now, I am quite happy with the idea of Universal Healthcare, and have heard Obama talk about it as well, I have few reservations nonetheless.

Chase Student Credit Card

Chase Credit Card

Chase LogoIt has been a while since I posted, but I thought I should shares this. I recently (2 months ago), applied for a Chase Student Credit Card. One of the reasons I applied for that particular credit card was that they just hand out student credit cards to almost everyone. Anyway, a week later I have a mail that they accepted my credit card and put a Eight Hundred Dollar Limit. The activation part of it was a mess (and I think part of it was my fault), but I soon ended up having my own Chase Credit Card. This was my second credit card, with Capital One being my first one. I am hoping to add two more credit cards, with one being American Express, and the other from probably a credit union.
