Chase Credit Card

Chase LogoIt has been a while since I posted, but I thought I should shares this. I recently (2 months ago), applied for a Chase Student Credit Card. One of the reasons I applied for that particular credit card was that they just hand out student credit cards to almost everyone. Anyway, a week later I have a mail that they accepted my credit card and put a Eight Hundred Dollar Limit. The activation part of it was a mess (and I think part of it was my fault), but I soon ended up having my own Chase Credit Card. This was my second credit card, with Capital One being my first one. I am hoping to add two more credit cards, with one being American Express, and the other from probably a credit union.

In my opinion, 2 credit cards are enough for me, but I am going to have 4 open/active credit cards. Even though I only have 2 credit cards, I already feel like its a hassle maintaining them, especially making sure my bills are paid on time. One of the biggest problems with Capital One is that you can't automate your bill payment with them. You can automate their bill payment futures with others, but you can't automate paying their credit card bills (as far as I am concerned). Now, coming to Chase +1 Student Credit Card, they offer something called Karma points. At first, I was pretty excited with Karma points, as there were a lot of rewards, but its just close to impossible to earn any karma points, making it pointless.

At the end of the day, I didn't apply to Chase +1 Student Credit Card for Karma Points, so its not much of a big deal, and the credit card by itself is quite satisfactory, and they increased my credit limit by $300 within one week of issuing my credit card. I was told that your FICO credit score goes down when you apply for your credit card, but my credit score went up to 7XX. I think it might be due to other factors, especially me lowering my debt ratio to less than 5% of my available credit. I also like the fact that I can link my Online Chase Checking Account with Chase Credit Card, which makes my life a whole lot easier.
