I posted a week ago, on February 14 that I was looking for a website or software that would allow me to check when companies are going to publish their quarterly or annual earnings report for the year 2007. Well, I finally found a site that does that ahead of time. I was going over the Google's Top Movers, and on one of the stocks' news-roll I noticed that PR NEWSWIRE constantly popped up at least a week b4 the earnings release report. Now, it got me thinking, since companies sent their news reports to PR companies first, which then get picked up by news agencies.
I visited the PR NEWSWIRE website, and after a little digging I came across their Financial Section, where they clearly gave an option of looking up "Conference Calls" of public Corporations - that was exactly what I was looking for. The page provided everything, from who announced their quarterly results to WHEN A CORPORATION IS GOING TO RELEASE THEIR FINANCIAL RESULTS. From looking over the press releases, it appeared that most of the conference calls were after 7 days after.
This is nonetheless a good news, as even a week ahead of time is better than having to rely on last minute info on conference calls. That page is now bookmarked and one of my favorites, and I would say, I will visit it everyday.
