My FICO Credit Score

FICOScore.gifWell, today I decided to check my FICO credit score. I know that everyone is eligible for 3 free credit scores at annualcreditreport.com, but when I checked with them, I couldn't find the FICO scores on the credit report. Also, I read somewhere that it would be a good idea to spread your free credit reports i.e. don't check all of your credit report at once. Instead, check your credit report from each of the credit bureau every four months.

There are 3 credit buereaus that do credit reports, each company has its own different credit report, and you are eligible for 1 free credit report from each of them every year. So, you can spread out your free credit reports.

Alternative, you can pay for you credit report, which I did. In my case, I already knew what my credit report was going to say, but I wanted to know my FICO credit score. Of all the 3 credit reports, I could never get TransUnion working. Every time I tried to get my credit report from TransUnion they ask me to confirm over the phone, which I won't. Equifax to me seemed the most comprehensive one, and I really liked the way they put out their credit report. So, I went a paid subscription from Equifax.

I ordered ScoreWatch from Equifax, and I am paying 9.95 per month, and with it I get a FICO Credit Score and credit monitoring. The product for 10 bucks is satisfactory. I don't think I will keep this subscription for more than 3 months, but it was more of a way for me to keep track of my credit score, and increase my credit score in the future.

From what I checked, I had a credit score of six hundred and ninety five plus. Now, I am not sure, If I should give out my exact credit score, as such I am going to be ambiguous in that regard. The one thing that is going negative for me in the credit report was that my credit history is very short, so there isn't really much I can do about it.

For those of you who are looking for a possible future car loan or mortgage, I would strongly suggest you look up your FICO credit score, and your credit report to make sure that everything is in order. Go to AnnualCreditReport.com to get your FICO score, NOT the ones you get on TV Commercials that tell you to get the free credit report. AnnualCreditReport.com is the right one.
