Financial Analysis

Financial Statement Analysis of a Company provided on this site tells you how a company has performed, what its strengths and weakness are, and how it is performing in relation to its competitors. The financial analysis is done through evaluation of various financial ratios and other financial information. These financial ratios include debt, dividend payout, and dividend yield. Other financial information that would be evaluated include ROA (Return on Assets), ROE (Return on Equity), Forward P/E Ratio, Trailing P/E ratio, Gross Profit, EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation Amortization), and Operating Cash Flow. Besides the financial information and ratios that are used to evaluate the performance of the corporation, we also take into account the performance of the stock market over the past few years, with special importance attached the last 3 quarters. In addition to analyzing the stock market performance of the corporation, the performance of competitors is also analyzed and compared to the stock performance of the corporation to give investors a better picture of a good candidate for investment.

The financial ratios analysis help us to evaluate whether the stock of the firm is more risky than the market or its competitors, whether the returns provided by investments were in line with other companies in the industry or exceeded those returns, how much cash the corporation has on hand to perform daily operations and does it need to borrow additional money just to carry out day to day operations. These are some of the variables that will be analyzed in the financial analysis. The data to evaluate the financial analysis of the company is taken from either annual reports released by the company yearly, or the quarterly reports (10-Q), released every 3 months. Most financial statements provide detailed financial information of the firm including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and summary of how and why the company performed this particular way. Companies also provide any legal issues they are involved with, their stand on those particular issues, and some companies provide pro-forma statements which detail possible performance of the company in the quarters to come.

We evaluate the above provided information from financial statements analysis, stock performance of the corporation, and various other news events that will affect the performance of the corporation to write our financial analysis of the company.
