Personal Finance - College and Saving Money Ideas

As my MBA has started, saving as much money as possible has become a big priority for me. Saving money during college can be hard, as there is little space for cutting back in the first place. My tuition fees and books cost me so much money, that I am now even thinking in terms of two to three dollars being spent.
I have come to conclusion at this point that MBA costs me so much that I have to give up basically just about every luxury. For example, I have decided to cut back on unnecessary travel, and keep hanging out with friends limited to weekends. I am not driving anywhere besides to and from the campus. All other driving is now limited to absolute necessities. Other areas I am cutting back include dining out. For the next 1.5 years I am going to significantly cut back on my dining, and instead save the money for my possible North East road trip which might occur in September of this year.

I was thinking of giving my cell phone and move on to a pre-paid phone, but my cell phone itself is such a bargain, that once my credit crunch is over, I would be hard pressed to find such a similar good deal. Right now, I have a Sprint Unlimited plan that costs me just about $35. The plan includes unlimited internet and text messages, so it would be hard if not impossible to find such a good deal. Even Srint itself, doesn't offer this plan anymore. So, I decided against it, and am going to keep the phone.
I am actively considering removing my cable as I don't watch TV anymore, and instead switch to DSL which costs about $20 a month, so I would end up saving $70 a month in my digital cable bill. Additionaly, now that I am doing my MBA, a large portion of my time will be spent on campus, as such the internet is readily available. So, there isn't really a need for me to get high speed internet. DSL is good enough as I would rarely spend time at home.
Removing the home phone also seems like a good idea, as I have a cell phone, and seriously don't see the need to have a cell phone in addition to that. Plus, if I do need another phone as a home phone, I might use Skype or some other VOIP service that would cut down costs.
At this stage, the places I am going to cut down are travel, which would save me money on gas; dining out, saves me a lot of money if I just eat and cook at home, dropping my cable company, and possibly dropping my home phone number as well. I am also not going to buy items that I don't think are an absolute necessity. Some of the things that I was thinking of buying were new glasses, clothes, a net book computer, few software programs, getting a new phone - possibly a Palm Pre when it is out, Kayak, and a few add-ons for my car.
I can't think of any other ways of saving money, but if you do have a few general ideas please let me know.
