Current Events Articles
I am a big follower of current events. In fact, I read about 5-6 news papers regularly daily. Of all the current events providers, I use Google News the most for current events articles. Google News provides me the quickest way of scanning what all the major news stories are across the globe, and it is quite handy in scanning major news events as quickly as possible. Besides Google News, BBC NEWS is my spatle new website. The first thing I do in the morning after I am ready is check BBC News Website. Only after I have done checking the BBC NEWS do I check other websites including my mail, and other online services. Even Google News is checked after I have checked the current events on BBC News.
I find BBC NEWS to be "less" biased. Although, a bias does exist, and you will notice it if you are a regular BBC News reader. Nonetheless, of all the major current events providers I find BBC the least biased and as such my favored site for my news consumption. Prior to BBC, I used to visit CNN regularly, but then lost interest as it was too US centric, and I on the other hand, am much more interested in what is happening across the world. Besides BBC News and Google News, I also read Wall Street Journal, Times of India, Deccan Chronicle, Express Buzz, Reuters, Guardian, and New York Times. These are the sites where I explictly go to their home pages to read news. Washington Post, Time, and News Week used to be the sites I visited often, but nowadays I use them rarely. I have even cutback on New York Times and Reuters, and focus mostly on Google News, WSJ and BBC News, with the other sites being used less often, but used nonetheless.

Wall Street Journal used to be home page when I had my subscription, and now that I cancelled it, I am unable to access their subscription content. Although their regular news stories are freely available elsewhere, it is their paid content that interests me, and I might add their subscription of $99 some time in the near future. It is also probably the only current events provider where I would be willing to pay money to use their services. If BBC, Times of India, and other current events providers started charging money, I would most likely not pay to use their services.
If you are looking for a good source of current events articles, I would suggest Google News for getting the most of the world's major news events. For news, that is less biased (at least for American Viewers), I would suggest going with BBC News. For those who are interested in editorials and other opinions, Wall Street Journal is a good option (although it has more of a conservative tinge).
As part of my class, I wrote some current events articles, or critiques on current events. You can check out those current events articles below:

P.S. One the news websites I rarely if ever use is Fox News. I don't really go out and check out news on Fox News, which I find to be extremely biased. I like Wall Street Journal, which is also owned by Rupert Murdoch, but Fox News just seems to be "off" for me. This was clearly evident when I wrote a report on media bias for my English class, and Fox News seemed to be way off in news reporting.
