Facebook Exposes Your Friend List.
If you have put your friend list under various privacy settings, be aware that Facebook now exposes your contact list to the entire world. Yep, it absolutely does, and there is no way to control this.
As everybody knows Facebook has been revamping their privacy settings. One of the reasons I liked Facebook over Myspace was its privacy settings which gave me a tremendous control over who could see my profile, and even among my friends who gets to see what, right down to my different email addresses.
Sadly, the new privacy settings of Facebook has one thing that is very important to me, and it totally exposes it to the world - my friend list. To me, my friend list is important, and there are quite a few of them, who do not want their names published for the world to see in my friend list. Plus, I don't want all of my friends to know who all of my other friends and acquaintances are. I definitely separate my personal life, and my work life, and I definitely don't see any reason why people from at work should know what friends I hang out with.
I am afraid to say this, but until Facebook resolves the friend list issue, I won't be going to back to Facebook.
