Finance Dictionary or Finance Wiki on the cards - Business Concepts in Detail
Well, I was thinking about what would be a good addition to the site, and it got me thinking - a finance dictionary wouldn't be such a bad idea. There are quite a few websites out there that explain financial business concepts, but most of them merely give you the definition. The dictionary that will be provided by Indews Financial will not only give you the definition but will also explain the concept in details with examples.
For example, we won't just tell you what Stock Dividend is, but will also use an example of a stock dividend, and when it was used in real life. If the concept was securities, we will explain what constitute securities, and examples of them. A page about portfolio would include the definition of portfolio, and a hypothetical portfolio of stocks as example to illustrate the concept.
The finance dictionary won't be in full implementation until I get done with my GMAT exam, so it will take time. The first concepts that will be added to the site will be basic finance. I would also try to add accounting concepts in the future, along with Marketing, and other similar subjects, but for the moment, my immediate attention will be finance related concepts, such as dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP), or securities. I have already explained two concepts on the site before, they are Stock Dividends and Cash Dividends. The Finance Dictionary could be along the lines of these two articles.
