Finance Related Articles

I have decided to dug up some finance related articles, and these are some of the articles that I have found range from Securities and Deriviates Paper I wrote in my Bachelor's Class for FIN 5220 I believe. A lot of other articles are just mundane articles talking about what I am going to do with the finance part of the site (like this one). Nonetheless, I have found a few interesting articles including the Financial Dictionary article, which discussed about the possibily of introducing finance terms database, which I am implementing currently at a much smaller scale.

Nike Financial Analysis - This was the first "major" financial paper I had to write. This was a research paper for my Advanced Finance Class, I think it was FIN 5270. I think I ended up getting a decent grade for this project.

Nike Dividends - Nike Dividends was an offshoot of Nike Financial Analysis. I felt that there was too much reading for Nike's Financial Analysis, and as such I decided to break down the paper into different parts, and that's how Nike Dividends was created.

Dividend Articles - Since I broke down Nike Financial Article, I decided to break away Apple Dividends article from Apple Financial Analysis. While I was at it, I decided it would be a good idea to write an article about Cash Dividends and Stock Dividends. Separately, I also wrote an article on Ford Dividend Policy.

High Dividend Stocks - I wrote this article after I received my annual $50 dividend for being part of DFCU Credit Union. I was excited that I got a $50 dividend for just being a member of the credit union. Sadly, this year DFCU changed their dividend policy and required members to have at least $1000 in their bank in order to qualify for a dividend. Since, I maintain only the bare minimum at the bank, I am going to miss their annual dividend for the year.

Portfolio Management Class - It appears I have written numerous papers for Portfolio Management. Portfolio Management was one of the harder classes I had while doing my Finance major. I think I was even late when submitting my Portfolio Management Project. I remember writing the paper while the class was progressing and submitting the paper sometime during the half-time period of the class. Sadly, I haven't changed my ways, and still do things at the last time. Some of the articles I submitted for the Portfolio Management Class include, Final Portfolio Management Project, and Portfolio Management Exam.

Financial Analysis - I wrote numerous articles on Financial Analysis, including Apple Financial Analysis and Nike Financial Analysis. Although not a financial analysis, I wrote an article that comes close being considered a Microsoft Financial Analysis info. Other Financial Analysis related articles include Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Analysis of Companies, Corporate Financial Management, Financial Analysis Delays, and Financial Analysis Section

Site Related Finance Articles - These finance articles are mostly related to the site than finance in general. Most of them are just general discussion about the finance section of the site. Blogging Finance Articles, Blogging Everything Except Finance, and Reviving Financial Blog.

Misc. Articles - Choosing Stocks for Financial Derivatives Project talks about the stocks I had to pick for my Financial Derivatives Class, while Quarterly Earnings Release Dates of Public Corporations provides a list of websites that will tell you when companies are releasing their quarterly earnings.

Finally, MBA Program Has Begun talks about the start of my MBA this Sprint/Summer. So far, the MBA has gone well, and I am quite satisfied with the progress. I am expecting to get done by the end of next year.

Since we are discussing financial related theme here, I would like to mention that as a follow up to my Weighted Average Cost of Capital article, I will be posting some complex examples of WACC calculation. Along with WACC, I will also post detailed information on Modified Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), and Net Present Value of Growth Opportunities (NPVGO). Since its already the end of the year, these articles will be posted in JAN 2010.

P.S. We will be entering the New Year in about 2 hours EST, and I would like to greet all of those who already are well into the year 2010, a Very Happy New Year.

2009 has been a good year for me, and I hope that 2010 is even better. In the entire year of 2009, I didn't invest or trade in stocks at all. I am hoping that 2010 will be a different year, and that I will get back into investing and trading in the Stock Market. Hopefully, things pan out well, and I am able to invest in the stock market.

As with my research papers from school, I will be sharing my experiences with the visitors of the website on how I am progressing in my investments.
