As some of you may know I am currently pursuing my MBA, specializing in International Business and possibly Information Systems Management. As mentioned in Finace article, I was earlier contemplating specialization in Finance as well, but came to realization that specializing in Finance in MBA isn't that beneficial to me. Since, I have wanted to build further on my existing Bachelor's degree in Finance; I have decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Finance as well.
I am currently looking up Master's program for Finance Specialization. Some of the different Finance programs in Masters I came across were regular Finance specialization, MSc in Corporate Finance, MSc in Risk and Asset Management, and MSc in Capital Markets.
Master's in Risk and Asset Management deals with traditional and alternative investment analysis, financial modeling, asset management, financial engineering and risk management, while Masters in Capital Markets deals with swaps, futures, foreign exchanges, options or exotic financial instruments.
If I find a good Masters school, I am likely to abandon my MBA for the moment, and instead pursue my Masters degree. Besides, Masters in Finance, I am also looking into CFA which I would be taking in June. The CFA exam in June would be my Level I exam, and I pretty confident of passing it.
