Mexican Restaurant
Yesterday, me along with a few of my friends went to a Mexican Restaurant. I think it was called Xochimilco. It was located in Detroit, almost next to the Canadian border. The restaurant itself was very good; it gave an individual the impression as if they were in Mexico. The look and feel of the restaurant was very authentic, and if a person were to take a picture of you inside the restaurant, and you were to show this picture to your friends, they would surely believe you if you told them you went to Mexico this weekend.
One of the things that I really liked was the price - it was very reasonable. I had “picadillio” something. I am not really sure what it was but it was beef, mashed beans and vegetable on the side. I would say that the food was good. I believe my friends had Americanized Mexican Cuisines, while my cuisine was one of the traditional Mexican foods.
At the end of the day, we ran up a $40 bill, and for a group of 5, I would say that the pricing of the restaurant was very reasonable. I personally had a hard time telling the waitress what I wanted, as all my Mexican pronunciations ended up being totally wrong. So, I had to show her all the things I wanted. We all had a good laugh, and it was definitely a very good experience. I will definitely go back, as I enjoyed the food very much. As I am under 21, I wasn’t able to drink or anything. I am told that their margaritas are one of the best in Detroit. I would give the restaurant a 7 out of 10. If you are thinking about going to a different restaurant than usual or want to try something new, I would definitely recommend Xochimilco.
