Today, has been quite a lot of work for me. Out of nowhere I decided to use my never used shredder, and started shredding papers I had since my 9th grade. I got into this just for the sake of shredding, and lets just say everyone at my home was really annoyed why I am shredding even regular notes. My mum kept bugging me on why I have shred science notes, and wouldn't it have been better to just trash it, she reasoned no one is going to steal your science notes. I really didn't have a good answer to reply, and I just replied "I just have to do this".

I haven't completely shredded all the papers yet. I think I have about 2-3 more bags of notes and stuff to still shred. The problem with my shredder is that it only shreds about 8 pages a time, and after 10 minutes it gets stuck and stops working. So after every 5-10 minutes of shredding, I have to clean the shredder AND completely open it i.e. break the warranty because there is no other way I can clean it. The papers keep getting stuck in between the blades quite frequently.

So, my new shredder is out of warranty already. If you are going to get a shredder, I STRONGLY suggest that you get a heavy duty shredder and don't be cheap when it comes to it. I am regretting having this shredder. My next shredder (which I am going to buy very soon), is going to be a heavy duty one, that won't break so easily. I had to fix this shredder at least 20 times today, and I have to tell that after a few hours, shredding the papers can be really exhausting.

The shredder I am using right now is by ATIVA, and quite frankly if there is a better option out there I would definitely give it a try. I am not sure the product sucks because it only shreds 8 pages, but the constant jamming of the papers can really get to you. Moral of the story - Get a bigger shredder!
