Swine Flu Infects More People Across the World
As expected the toll of Swine Flu has risen to 81, and with thousands infected. The flu has now spread to New Zealand, and even Europe. In New Zealand, 10 teenages were apparently affected but none of them are seriously ill. As you many have noticed, this flu seems to be affecting young and healthy people, instead of sick and old people. That has to be a concern if the healthiest population is getting infected by this virus.
In this day and age where one can be in an continent in the evening, and with such a contagious virus it shouldn't be surprising at all. From what I am reading, all of this is just a start, and we haven't even seen the real extent of the virus which by now could have spread to all continents and infected lot of people who came in contact with the virus. The border with Mexico hasn't still been closed yet, and although I don't think a containment would work at this point, it would nonetheless be a relief to know that not more people who are possibly infected would travel to United States. The government for safety concerns should seal the border until this virus has been figured out.
I was reading timesonline, and it appears that Doctors in America are advising patients to wear masks. I think like Mexico, in a few weeks it is possible that they would ask all to wear to wear protective masks. Anyway, this has got me thinking of buying a protective mask as a precaution.
Off Topic - If you see a lot of "Swine Flue" instead of "Swine Flu", please ignore it. As I am typing, I seem to type Flue automatically instead of Flu.
