Fishing in Michigan
Well, I went fishing yesterday with one of my friends, and for the second time in a row I caught no fish. Absolutely none, Nada! I am getting quite disappointed with these unsuccessful attempts.
I don't remember the name of the park we went last time for fishing, but this time around we went to Elizabeth Park. We got ourselves Canadian Night Crawler worms, although our plan was get minnows. Apparently minnows are usually available in the morning, and we went in the afternoon (probably around 3ish), and they were already out. The worms were HUGE, compared to the worms in Meijers.
This is my 7th time fishing I think, so I am pretty much a novice when it comes to fishing. The last time around, I also bought myself a fishing rod. Before, I used to use my friends fishing rods. There were some problems in figuring out how my fishing rod worked, and I thought I bought a broken fishing rod. Anyway, my friend figured out how to make it work, so it was all good. I really thought that I was going to catch some fish, so I was very much disappointed.

As we were fishing, I thought about getting a cabin up north in Michigan. One of my friends owns a cabin, and the way he described northern Michigan, it really made me want to have a cabin up there. So, one of my long term objectives would be to have a cabin up north. I am actually quite serious about having a cabin, and have actually looked up for land Up North. Although, I haven't found much info, I have found that there are cabin kits that can be used to make cabins, and decent ones go upwards of $30,000. So, it is a considerable investment, and I would rather have it before I hit 25 rather than 30.
One thing I noticed in the park was that there were a lot of ducks, and a lot of these ducks were so used to people that it was amazing. The ducks weren't even flinching when I threw the fishing line close to them into the water, they acted as if nothing happened.
My objective for next week, Catch some fish!
