Wrapping Up My Backlog Work

I unexpectedly decided to finish up my work on my Cheat Codes Site last week, which is the reason why I haven't added any new articles. My Cheat Codes site was supposed to be transferred to a new CMS during the Christmas break, but delays in implementation and integration of other sites didn't allow me to work finish up CMS change for my Cheat Codes site.

Last week, I decided to finish my much-delayed work and focus on it instead of the financial analysis. I felt that the work would have been finished up in a matter of two days, but unfortunately my site computer wasn't "powerful" enough to convert my existing CMS to the new one. I basically had to download the entire cheat codes database into my computer, and then import it to Microsoft Access, and then export it to Excel and convert it into a database similar to that of new CMS. These changes took way too long. As you can see, it’s been a week, and I have finally finished my work on the cheat codes site. Unfortunately, the new CMS seems to be a bit slower in implementing template changes, and I had to spend the last three days just to make the site look like as it was before the CMS switch. The integration was the easiest part, but it was rebuilding the site in the new template that took incredibly long. Although it uses MYSQL database, its a CGI script and very slow in rebuilding. Fortunately, I am done with it.

On a note, I would like to mention that before I decided to finish up the work on my Cheat Codes site, I was half way done on a paper on Apple, Inc. I will let you guys in on a little details, the paper is called "AAPL - Apple, Inc.". The paper briefs Apple Computer, Inc. main products, its main competitors, and its weaknesses along with the latest financial results that I didn't incorporate into my Apple Inc. Financial Analysis. The paper will also provide sales details of Apple products. If everything goes along well, I will be publishing "AAPL - Apple, Inc." by tomorrow. I have been looking over site’s logs and it appears that a lot of people are looking for Adidas Financial Analysis, K-Swiss Financial Analysis, and Stock Market Overreaction. Since, these above phrases are some of the things that people are looking a lot on the site, I will be making a priority in trying to publish articles on Adidas (ADS - Formerly Adidas-Salomon AG) and K-Swiss Inc. (KSWS), and information on Stock Market Overreaction.

For the moment, I do not have any backlog work, although there is a certain wish list that I would like to carry out. I have been meaning to convert my flagship site - indews.com to a new CMS for a long time. The problem is that if I decided to go ahead, it will take at least 2-3 weeks in implementing it, and that is a lot of precious time, and I am not sure, if my energy should be spent on it. Unless, I wake up in the middle of the night, and decided to start working on switching indews.com to a new CMS, I can assure you that financial analysis, and stock briefings on this site will go on schedule. I would also like to mention that I have been meaning to start an independent site called "Indews Financial" so that we don't have be in the shadow of "indews.com", which caters mainly to Gaming Demographics. I am not sure when and if we will implement that, for the moment, we will stick to our current URL.
