Iraq War
This is a break from my routine of posting financial related articles. In this article I am going to bring attention to articles on Iraq I wrote in College. All of the articles I wrote below are anti-Iraq war. During my High School Years, I wrote articles that justified Iraq War, but as I moved on to College and as the situation in Iraq worsened along with some of the evidence that were presented to justify Iraq War false made me shift my position. Unfortunately, I lost my flash drive, with it all of the articles I wrote in high school and good chunk of articles I wrote in the beginning of my freshman year that were pro for war in Iraq. So, I won’t be able to present those articles to you guys.
I wrote about 6 articles on Iraq, all of them were for classes in college. The articles I wrote mostly were assignments for my English and Political Science classes. I wrote the articles, based on project requirements that sometimes made me pick a particular side in the topic.
Why Iraq's Democracy Will Fail – This paper talks about some of the reasons Democracy will not take hold in Iraq. I list some of the preconditions necessary for establishment of a democracy and why some of those preconditions haven’t been met or fulfilled in Iraq, which would eventually lead to dissolution of an Iraqi Democracy
People Affected by Iraq War – This article briefly talks about how an Iraqi Shiite and a Chaldean were affected by the Iraq War. Unfortunately due to time constraints, I wasn’t able to interview families of active soldiers serving in Iraq War.
News Reporting on Iraq War – For this article, I was supposed to look at the way media was covering the Iraq, and the bias in journalist reports. The article goes over various newspapers and their coverage of the war.
Failure of Iraqi Democracy Outline – An outline of “Why Iraq’s Democracy Will Fail”.
Iraqi Government Overthrown in a Military Coup – A fictional news report talking about a military coup that has taken over in Iraq.
Iraq - Unjustified War – An article I wrote in 2004, detailing why the war in Iraq was wrong and unjustified.
Dog Eat Dog Media - Written by my friend Kyle Schafer, it talks about the media coverage of War in Iraq.
