Since this is the Superbowl weekend, I am not really in a mood to write new articles; instead I just want to bring attention to the older articles that have been written quite a while back. This time, I want to show articles written by my friend Kyle Schafer. Kyle Schafer is a Political Science student, and I asked him to send some of the papers he wrote for his classes. For those of you who want a break from the Financial Articles on the site, you can visit our Politics section.Below is a list of articles he wrote for numerous Political Science Courses. Since, I didn’t write the below articles, I didn’t really want to briefly explain what each article was about, but I think, that the title’s of each article is self-explanatory.
Dog Eat Dog Media – “In this paper, I will be examining the media, and its role in the coverage of the current War in Iraq. To be more precise, I am going to be testing one of the three camps of dogs of media. I intend on focusing on one of the major newspapers in the United States, The Washington Post. I will investigate this newspaper’s main articles in the Aprils of 2003, ’04, ’05, & “06, and try to find if one of the dogs of media camps is prevalent. After reading all the articles, and compiling a set of statistics, I hope to prove that the media definitely has an attack dog mentality. This is important, because we need to know how our news outlets portray the news, so that we know what type of lens our news is being filtered through, and how the actual information in the war is being portrayed, both on the ground and in the policymaking process of the executive administration.”
