Will we have President Hillary Clinton and Vice-President Barack Obama?
I am sure everybody has heard it by now, Senator Barack Obama announced on Saturday that he was in the race for White House. I caught about half of his speech, and I have to say, he knows how to deliver a speech. Throughout the speech, only one thing went through my mind, "This guy is damn good". In my opinion, I consider Barack Obama just next to Prime Minister Tony Blair in delivering a really moving speech.
Now, what are the odds of Senator Obama really being able to win the Presidency? I felt that Senator Obama's chances of winning the Presidency are quite good, except for one reason - No its not that he is black, but rather Hillary Clinton. If Hillary Clinton wasn't running, I bet that Senator Obama would have easily become Democrat candidate for Presidency, and won the election, but Hillary Clinton complicates everything.
What I think will happen is Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will become the major candidates of the Democrat party, and in the end Hillary Clinton will edge out Barack Obama, BUT Hillary Clinton will offer Obama Vice Presidency! This is what I think will be the most likely outcome. My prediction would be, we will have the first woman president and the first black man as a vice president, and hopefully a black president in the very near future as well.
Looking Back - June 06 Friday, 2008
Well, I wrote this article over a year ago, and my have events occurred in reverse. Barack Obama clinched the Democratic nominee for Presidential Candidate, and it maybe that Hillary Clinton could be his Vice President or Secretary of State.
I always thought of Hillary Clinton as the inevitable democratic nominee, and now we are not sure if she even can be a VP candidate for Barack Obama. I think the dream ticket is overblown, and Vice Presidency would probably be offered to some other female politician who isn't as polarizing as Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton would probably end up as the Secretary of State.
I don't think McCain would win the presidential election, he doesn't have the charm, and the way the economy is going, it might be probable that during the course of the presidential campaign, people will start linking McCain with George Bush and his administration. This would definitely destroy any hope of him being the President. McCain is also well advised against have someone too young as Bobby Jindal for Vice President.

Dear Mr. Chitraju,
After almost exactly a year that you wrote about the possibility of a Ms Clinton for President and Mr Obama as his VP the current odds seem to be, if at all, vice-versa...
B.t.w.:
Your comparison of Senator Obama's speech-making with Tony Blair's, the shallow and dreadful leader of the "Coalition Forces", was too stupid to be an insult to the former.

Dear Mr. Jauch
Its fascinating to read your view of a possible political outcome over a year ago. It seems that Mr. Obama is now running for presidents but we don't know if Hillary will be on the ticket at all!
It is also interesting to see how you picked up instantly on some of Obama's virtues (capacity to deliver a strong speech, etc) that have won the nation.
Any comments?
Regards
In regards to Jauch's statement on Tony Blair - I don't think Tony Blair is all that bad, I think he was just naive, and wanting to preserve the "special relationship" between US and Great Britain, and definitely not a dreadful leader.
I WANT TO FIX HILLARY CLINTON FOR STAYING WITH BILL WHEN SHE SHOULD HAVE DIVORCED HIM OVER:
1. HIS ANTIMASTURBATION
2. HIS CHEATING ADULTERY
ALSO IM AGAINST HER NOT LISTENING TO ME ABOUT VOTING AGAINST THE ANTI POKER BILL (PHONE CALLS, LETTERS) AND RECEIVING FUNDING FROM HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANIES WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY OVERCHARGING AND AGE DISCRIMINATING. I ALSO BELIEVE LIKE JOE LIEBERMAN THAT BILL CLINTON SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMPEACHED AFTER ILLEGALLY CHEATING ON HIS WIFE.
