Finally writing an article on Google Stock History
As I have mentioned before I am going to start writing articles on individual Corporation's stock history, and Google stock historyy would be the first to be written.
I have been following Google Stock's Performance (passively), and I saw it going through a steady decline (I think it failed to deliver the quarterly results investors were expecting). The company posted higher 1st quarter profit in April, moving it away from its steady decline and has considerably moved up from its lows in March.
For the year to date, Google's Stock declined by about 21%. Stock started at at a price of $685.19 on January 02, and closed this Friday at $544.62. Google (GOOG) stock were in steady declining throughout January, February, and second week of March. Between March 10 and April 17, Google stock traded between $413 and $449. It was the first quarter results the boosted Google's slump in its stock price. After the delivery of its higher profit for the first quarter, Google Stock rose from $449.54 to $539.41, a rise of almost $90.

Google Stock History is similar to Microsoft Stock History for the year to date. Microsoft stock declined about 21%. Yahoo on the other hand is up 19% for the year to date, prodded up in price due to Microsoft's bid. All the three companies stock were following a very similar pattern, and in fact, the trend of Google and Microsoft is much same as the graph above shows. Hadn't Microsoft not bid on Yahoo, the stock performance of three companies would have been eerily similar.
